About Us

The Pakistan Climate Action Hub (PCAH) is a national digital platform designed to showcase innovative, practical, and locally grounded climate solutions from across Pakistan. Inspired by Denmark’s State of Green Model, the platform brings together initiatives led by businesses, startups, civil society organizations, local governments, researchers, and communities that are working to address climate-related challenges while advancing resilience, sustainability, and inclusive development.
PCAH was established to create greater visibility for climate initiatives that are often underrepresented despite their impact and learning value. By documenting and highlighting diverse solutions – from renewable energy and climate-smart agriculture to water management, circular economy, resilient infrastructure, and nature-based approaches – the platform aims to promote knowledge-sharing and encourage replication across regions and sectors.
Beyond serving as a repository of solutions, PCAH seeks to strengthen collaboration among practitioners, policymakers, development partners, and communities working at the forefront of climate action in Pakistan. The platform also aims to shift the narrative from climate vulnerability alone towards one that highlights innovation, local leadership, and opportunities for sustainable and climate-resilient development.

A Strategic Pakistan-Denmark Partnership

PCAH is being developed by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) with support from the Embassy of Denmark in Pakistan under a broader initiative focused on Shaping Pakistan’s Climate Prosperity Plan and Advancing Inclusive and Equitable Development.
SDPI is one of Pakistan’s leading policy research institutions, working across climate change, sustainable development, energy transition, governance, and economic policy. Through its research and advocacy efforts, SDPI has contributed extensively to climate policy dialogue and evidence-based development planning in Pakistan.
Denmark has long been recognized globally for its leadership in green growth, sustainability, and climate innovation. Through its partnership with Pakistan, the Embassy of Denmark is supporting efforts that promote climate resilience, green transition, and inclusive development while encouraging collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange.

How PCAH works

PCAH operates as a curated and collaborative platform that identifies, documents, and showcases impactful climate solutions from across Pakistan. Initiatives featured on the platform are selected through a structured review process based on their climate relevance, innovation, inclusivity, implementation experience, and potential for replication.
The platform works closely with organizations, enterprises, and community initiatives to develop concise and accessible solution profiles that highlight both achievements and practical lessons learned. PCAH places particular emphasis on implementation-focused learning, encouraging contributors to share not only what worked, but also the challenges encountered and insights gained through practice.
By combining structured information with storytelling, visual content, and thematic categorization, PCAH aims to create a knowledge resource that is useful for practitioners, policymakers, researchers, investors, and development partners seeking practical examples of climate action within Pakistan’s context.
